I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.

Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
